English Dissertation

As on most degree courses, a final major project is a rite of passage most students take in their final year of study. Performance based degrees produce a final showcase whilst art and design courses create final projects that are showcased at the end of the year. On a humanities course, like BA English, we write a dissertation.

A dissertation showcases the individual’s research findings and own analysis, answering a selection of questions surrounding a particular topic. It is both a time-consuming and rewarding task, one that requires dedication and commitment to complete.

As part of my course, I will be completing a video presentation aided with commentary documenting my own findings around my research topic as well as a final written dissertation.
